I just unsubscribed to the SharperImage.com’s email specials and, rather than being greeted with the usual unsubscribed page once I clicked on the unsubscribe link, instead I came to a page where I could change my email frequency. I could totally unsubscribe, or alternatively, I could decrease the frequency to 4 special offer emails per year, or even just 2 special offer emails per year. I thought this was quite clever. So, if I am an overwhelmed customer feeling frequency burnout, but I would still like to receive an occasional email from The Sharper Image, I now have the ability! I see this as a best practice technique that we all should be employing.
